WATERFOWL HUNTING

Waterfowl hunting is a grand tradition that we are proud to be continuing here at Remington Whistling Wings. From the haunting call of Canada geese overhead, to the excitement of ducks working the decoy spread with the wind whistling through thier wings, these are all moments that we treasure. We strive to put you on the birds and give you every opportunity to harvest them. More importantly we want you to have a good time and safe experience.

Our experienced and safety-oriented guides are skilled veterans of the game they persue and have thorough knowledge of the land and terrain. Most land hunts are conducted in Avery Finisher blinds and full body motion decoys for geese. Using this technique allows you to get up close and personal with the quarry. Sometimes the birds work so close you can almost feel the wind from their wing beats.

Water hunts are conducted froms blinds or boat blinds on ponds and open water. Your guide will have scouted the hunting area days prior to your hunt and determined the best location for ypur hunt. We provide the labs (or you can bring yours if the rest of your party agrees), latest Avery decoys that are updated frequently during the season. We can upon request provide gun and ammo for person licensed to hunt in Virginia.

DEER HUNTING

Matching wits with a mature White-tail buck is one of the most challenging things a hunter can go up against. Wether you pursue this majestic animal with bow, crossbow, muzzleloader or modern firearms, we can help you get a shot at a trophy animal. We do have limited opportunities for deer hunting so please contact us as far in advance as possible.

TURKEY HUNTING

A one time choice to be the "National Bird", this elusive trophy is very popular for our clients to pursue, especially during the springtime gobbler season. These hunts can be either fully-guided with us calling for you or semi-guided with you calling, stalking the birds on your own.

DOVE HUNTING

For many years the opening day of dove season - which usually falls on the first day in September is hearlded as the beginnig of all the fall hunting season. We usally have a large hunts going on for opening day. Again, the opening day hunts fill up fast as everyone is anxious to start the season, so bok early. However we can put you on doves throughout the dove season. We hunt over corn, sunflowers, soybeans. If you bring your dog remember this is a hot time of the year. Be sure to bring plenty of cold water for the dog and keep them as shaded as possible. For everyones safety, please be sure your dog is under control at all times.

These are some of the things you will need to have:

• Virginia hunting license
• Federal duck stamp
• Virginia Conservation (duck) stamp
• 12 guage shotgun or larger
• Shells for geese: BB's, BBB's, T-steel shot or Hevi shot #2's
• Shells for ducks: #1, 2, 3 or Hevi shot #2(works for ducks & geese), 3, 4, 5
• Gloves & face mask
• Camouflage clothes and rain gear
• Chest waders or rain gear with rubber boots
• Ice chest (for transporting game)
